In this exercise students get to practice spontaneous storytelling and use their imagination. At the same time it is a great way to learn specific vocabulary on different themes such as travelling, seeing a doctor or everyday chores or for more advanced learners literature .

Instructions for this exercise
Decide a set of pictures or words that are going to be the guides for the story. Using a digital spinning wheel, students need to come up with a story about the picture they get. Each one makes up a sentence, and the next one goes on with the same story, but using the picture they get from the wheel.
You can modify the wheel as you wish and choose the images according to the theme of the exercise.

The wheel works with Google accounts, etc. You just need to have the pictures already on your computer. Below an example of travelling themed pictures.

Valitse kuvia tai sanoja, joiden pohjalta tarinaa rakennetaan. Nämä syötetään digitaaliseen “onnenpyörään”, jota pyörittämällä opiskelijat saavat seuraavan sanan tarinaansa.
Harjoituksen alussa ensimmäinen pyöräyttää pyörää ja katsoo siitä esille tulevaa kuvaa/sanaa. Hän tekee lauseen, jossa käyttää kyseistä sanaa. Seuraava opiskelija pyörittää uudelleen pyörää ja jatkaa edellisen opiskelijan tarinaa uudella lauseella.
Opettaja voi valita harjoitukseen haluamiaan kuvia, jolloin harjoitus sopii oikeastaan mihin tahansa harjoiteltavaan teemaan.

Consignes pour cet exercice
Choisissez un ensemble d’images ou de mots qui serviront de guides pour l’histoire. À l’aide d’une roue numérique, les apprenant.es doivent inventer une histoire à partir de l’image sur laquelle ils/elles tombent. Chacun.e invente une phrase, puis le/la suivant.e poursuit la même histoire, mais en utilisant la nouvelle image qu’il/elle obtient à partir de la roue en la lançant à nouveau.

Entscheiden Sie sich für eine Reihe von Bildern oder Wörtern, die als Wegweiser für die Geschichte dienen sollen.
