Instructions for this exercise
Print the cards and cut them so that each card has a picture at one end and a word at the other.
The domino cards are divided evenly among the players. Each card has a picture and a word that do not match each other (for example, a picture of a tailor with the word “hairdresser,” or a picture of a nurse with the word “chef”).
The first player places any card they choose on the table. The next player must add a card to either end of the chain by matching a picture with its corresponding word, or a word with its corresponding picture. For example, if the card on the table has a picture of a tailor and the word “hairdresser,” the next card could be placed so that the word “tailor” or a picture of a hairdresser connects to it.
Each player, in turn, adds one card to either end of the chain, always ensuring that a matching word and picture are connected.
When a student places a card on the table, they must also say a sentence using the word on the card (for example: “I have to go to the hairdresser.”).
If a player does not have a suitable card, their turn is skipped, and the turn passes to to the next player.
The player who gets rid of all their cards first wins the game.
Tips for teachers
You can print the cards twice so that the same words appear multiple times during the game, making it more effective for learning.
You can also create additional cards following the same model, using other themes.

Tulosta ja leikkaa kortit valmiiksi. Jokaisen kortin toisessa päässä on kuva ja toisessa sana. Tarvitset korttisetin jokaiselle pienryhmälle.
Jaa dominokortit pelaajien kesken. Jokaisella kortilla on kuva ja sana, jotka eivät sovi toisiinsa (esim. kuva ompelijasta ja sana “kampaaja”, tai kuva sairaanhoitajasta sanan “kokki” kanssa).
Ensimmäinen pelaaja asettaa valitsemansa kortin pöydälle.
Seuraavan pelaajan tehtävä on lisätä kortti ketjuun joko niin, että hänen lisäämänsä sana sopii pöydällä olevaan kuvaan (esim. kampaaja – kampaaja) tai kuva sopii näkyvillä olevaan sanaan.

Jos pelaajalla ei ole pöytään sopivaa korttia, hänen vuoronsa menee ohi ja siirtyy seuraavalle pelaajalle.
Pelaaja, joka ensimmäisenä pääsee eroon kaikista korteistaan, voittaa pelin.

Imprimez les cartes et découpez-les de manière à ce que chaque carte comporte une image à une extrémité et un mot à l’autre.Les cartes dominos sont réparties équitablement entre les joueurs. Chaque carte comporte une image et un mot qui ne correspondent pas (par exemple, l’image d’un couturier et le mot « coiffeur », ou l’image d’une infirmière et le mot « cuisinier »).
Le premier joueur pose une carte de son choix sur la table.
Le joueur suivant doit ajouter une carte à l’une des extrémités de la chaîne en associant une image au mot correspondant ou un mot à l’image correspondante. Par exemple, si la carte posée sur la table comporte l’image d’un couturier et le mot « coiffeur », la carte suivante peut être placée de manière à ce que le mot « couturier » ou une image représentant le coiffeur soit relié à la carte précédente.
Chaque joueur, à tour de rôle, ajoute une carte à l’une des extrémités de la chaîne, en veillant toujours à ce qu’un mot et une image correspondants soient reliés.
Lorsqu’un apprenant.e pose une carte sur la table, il ou elle doit également dire une phrase utilisant le mot figurant sur la carte, en utilisant sa version féminine ou masculine (par exemple : « Je dois aller chez le coiffeur »).
Si un joueur / une joueuse n’a pas de carte appropriée, il ou elle passe son tour et c’est au joueur ou à la joueuse suivant.e de jouer.
Le joueur ou la joueuse qui se débarrasse de toutes ses cartes en premier remporte la partie.

Vous pouvez imprimer les cartes deux fois afin que les mêmes mots apparaissent plusieurs fois au cours de la partie, ce qui rendra l’apprentissage plus efficace.
Vous pouvez également créer des cartes supplémentaires en suivant le même modèle, mais en utilisant d’autres thèmes.
